After the Báb had settled the affairs of His household and
provided for the future maintenance of both His mother and His wife, He
transferred His residence from His own home to that of Hájí Mírzá Siyyid ‘Alí.
There He awaited the approaching hour of His sufferings. He knew that the
afflictions which were in store for Him could no longer be delayed, that He was
soon to be caught in a whirlwind of adversity which would carry Him swiftly to
